PC-Phone Daisy Chain VOIP

Guys,

Just something we are testing in our ccie voice lab and wanted to know if we daisy chain PC to Cisco phone, if the phone is aware of the data vlan or PC since the PC is connected directly to phone or is it transparent. i believe the phone should only have the voice vlan tag not the data

switchport configuration

Switch(config)#interface fastethernet 2/5

Switch(config-if)#switchport mode access

Switch(config-if)#Switchport access vlan 10

Switch(config-if)#switchport voice vlan 20

Switch(config-if)#power inline auto

i could be wrong. but i beleive the phone will strip away all COS and DSCP from the PC attatched to it. And i think that data is untagged where as the voice vlan is tagged. I think thats how it works or something similar to that.
