upgrading 3750 switches in a stack to Gigabit

Is there a procedure to upgrade 3750 FE stacks to 3750 GE without losing the config?

I have a stack of 4 3750's, 1 (Master) is GE, the other 3 are FE switches. I want to replace the FE switches within the stack with gigabit switches. Is there an automated way to do this without manually re-configuring the stack?

I know you can replace "like" switches and the stack will rebuild its self, I was wondering if I can replace a FE switch with a GE switch and have the stack rebuild automatically.

Hi,

I believe there is no way to replace a switch in a Stack without losing the Config.

Not applicable

You could save your configuration out to a text file. Alter the config by doing find replace and change all the Fast Ethernets to Gigabit Ethernet

Once you install your new switches

Paste your new config back into the switch.

That would take care of that part of your configuration.

Hopefully this helps some

Thanks, That is what I had planned, I was hoping someone knew of a quicker way so I'm not down rebuilding very long.
