Using Tftpd32 TFTP server.

Unable to load any software to any ASA firewall on the network

Accessing tftp://10.15.4.55/asdm-603.bin...

WARNING: TFTP download incomplete!

%Error reading tftp://10.15.4.55/asdm-603.bin (Unspecified Error)

Tftpd32 works for all PIX firewalls, 6500's and 3750 switches.

The only way I can get software onto the ASA firewalls is via the ASDM GUI.

hello rob

did you do a copy tftp to flash or disk 0 : ? ? normally for ASA's you do a copy tftp to disk 0

ASA5510#copy tftp disk0:

Address or name of remote host []? 172.16.31.1

Source filename []? asa722-k8.bin

Destination filename [asa722-k8.bin]?

Accessing tftp://172.16.31.1/asa722-k8.bin...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also make sure the asdm is compatible with your ASA IOS, to make sure it works fine. this has anyway nothing to do with the tftp problem you have.. are there any personal firewalls in your laptop or desktop running tftp ? i have had this issue .. last resort, i would download another tftp software like 3cdaemon and try with that.. afterall tftpd32 is a software and there can be some bugs :)
