I had a customer that had an outage and need to find out why. Debugging q921 yields one way SABME. I know what this may indicate, but the error that I cannot decipher is

"ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: Ux_DLRelInd: DL_REL_IND received from L2"

Anyone know what this means???

You may try replacing the router and check the connection again. If the problem is not with the router check the PBX connection.

Interestingly, I think this was a provider issue, what exactly happened I have no idea. I showed up at the customer site and everything was working. Of caurse, the provider had no idea what went wrong nor what the fix was... Thanks for the response.

What does the above q921 message mean?. For that matter what does SABME mean?

Not strong with voice. Let me know, Thanks

Hi.

Set Asynchronous Balanced Mode Extended (SABME)

SABME is the first message sent during a Layer 2 connection sequence. Its basic purpose is to reset the link and prepare it for a new connection. SABMEs must be acknowledged by a UA.

We had the same problem, ended up being a Telco issue, when the d channel came up so did the circuit.
