Guys
this might be a very simple question but i have a lab im setting up in the office and i have one phone line connected to my FXO port. im running CCM 6.1 and the call goes directly (PLAR) to my extension.
my PSTN line call call waiting on it. if im on the phone and a second call comes in i hear the alert on my ip phone but i have no idea on what i need to do to pull the call. is there something simliar to "flash" that i can configure on my phone to pull the second call?

Hi,
This feature isn't supported for CUCM, but it can be supported in CME.
Here is the command for CME:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/command/reference/cme_f1ht.html
CUCM supports hookflash transfers over T1 CAS (built into transfer key):
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/4_2_1/ccmsys/a08gw.html#wp1117633
But the 'Flash' softkey doesn't have support in CUCM yet.
hth,
nick

Hi Guys,
This is possible with CME but not CUCM;
Here is the bug for CUCM from Michael @ Cisco;
CSCdv71088 - CallManager cannot do a hookflash on a fxo line with Call Waiting.
Release Note:
Symptom: Ip phone cannot answer call waiting beep sent by the telco
Problem: CallManager does not have the means to send the H245 message to the gateway to answer the Call Waiting call
Workaround: Create a hunt group of FXO so the call always comes in on a new trunk and now use Call Waiting on the PSTN (use CallManager call waiting).
Hope this helps!

Also
we are saying its not supported but the workaround is
Workaround: Create a hunt group of FXO so the call always comes in on a new trunk and now use Call Waiting on the PSTN (use CallManager call waiting).
What is the CallManager call waiting and how is this enabled?

Hey Arvind,
This workaround is not really a viable solution. It references the need for additional FXO Trunks from your Telco provider setup in a Hunt Group, where your second call actually comes in on another Trunk. I don't think this will help for your config.
Hope this helps! Sorry man!
