Dear all,
Does anyone know what is the reason to cause Cisco Desktop License and Resource Manager Service to failed?
Thanks

This could possibly be because they have a LDAP connection which is also the connection to the Call manager.
Mutiple failure up to 8 causes the License resouce manager service to not start. This can then cause other services to reach its maximum failure counts as if the license and resource manger is down for more that 5mins, the CRS node manager restart.
Trouble shooting steps:
1. Turned up logs. This was collected by your team and attached to the case.
2. Checked Registry Keys for the Proc disable flag and failure counts for each service.
* noticed that the failure count had reach its limit for the License
resouce manager
* enterprise manager proc disable was set to 1
* VOIP monitor proc disable was set to 1
* License resource manager proc diable was set to 1
Any of the above setting will cause the service to stop and be unable to restart even manually. Setting were changed to the correct settings.Everything started working expect for the license resource manager.
License resource manager config file has the file Size set too high. After our developing engineers changed the size and fixed the registry keys, all services were back to normal.

Hello Pengke11,
Thanks for your response.
When this service failed, no agent can login to the Cisco Agent Desktop. After we restart the server, it's working fine.
We still want to know the root cause of this problem and how to provent it to happen in the future.
Many thanks,
