Please note, that I'm a newbie in Cisco networking. Just started with an ASA 5505 an can get quite well with it, except that I want to upgrade the ASA and the ASDM. I understand that the versions of the 2 are interconnected with each other.

The problem seems to be related with the size of the files.

I notied, that files under some 10 megs load fine onto flash, but not the biggers ones.

I tried it only loading from local computer, since have no acces to ftp or tftp servers, and don't think that they would be of help, since I guess, problem is with the size of the files.

When ASDM starts the loading, the Status windows is displayed, but practically nothing happens, I waited several hours. There is no error messages, either.

So, I cannot upgrade from 7.2 ASA and 5.2 ASDM to higher.

Could someone give me a clue, what could be the problem.

I use the java interface of ASDM.
