Hi,
Can anybody help me in clarifying what is the difference between
VWIC2-2MFT-G703 and 4 Port clear channel Module (HWIC-4T1/E1
)in Cisco Routers.
Please provide the suitable solution
I pretty sure VWIC2-2MFT-G703 can be configured for maximum of 2 Channel-groups. How about 4 Port Clear channel card? Whether i can configure 31 independant channels (31 Links)

According to the datasheet, either framed or unframed operation is supported:
The modules support balanced and unbalanced E1 connectivity and conform to G.703 and G.704 standards for unframed and framed E1 modes.

Hi,
Have a look at the following link for the detailed feature information on the HWIC module -
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_4/12_4x/12_4_11xw/fmt1e1ic.pdf
Broadly speaking, HWIC does not supports Voice unlike the VWIC modules and HWIC (4 ports) supports 1 channel per port or 4 channels per module.

Hi Sushil,
Thanks for your reply. I have surfed this link already before writing in this forum.
It is mentioned that 4 port clear channel supports only one channel.
1. is that mean i can configure only one channel group per port.
2. Whether it supports unframed also?
do you have any chance of worked with this port?

No, sorry:
The 4-port clear channel HWIC supports 1 channel per port, or 4 channels total for the HWIC

Hi,
Whether it is possible to create either framed (1984 Kbps-timeslot 1-31) or Unframed (2048 Kbps).
I know that it is not possible to create both in the same port. But I should be able to do it in atleast either
