try adding this config in your device

service timestamps log datetime msec localtime

John,

thanks for your reply, now it diplays both the current time and delay time i.e in the log it displays as

10:00pm x.x.x.x

4:30 pm x.x.x.x

can i get only 10:00pm in logs

Thnks in adv.

In most cases the suggestion from John to add service timestamps log will solve the problem of the time showing in the log messages. If it does not solve it in your case then there must be something else in the config that is impacting it. Can you post the router config so that we can see what is going on?

can you post your show log, show ntp associations and show ntp status config.

Also, verify that your clock timezone is set correctly in your config.

clock timezone CST -6

Then -6 is how many hours off of UTC time you are.
