Device Fault Manager fails to support devices in DCR

Hi there,

I'have installed the Ciscoworks LAN Management Solution 3.1

on a HP server model: ProLiant DL 360G5 multi-processor with

two network cards.I'have used the HP Teaming for virtual

address assignement for the server before LMS installation.

The operating system on this server is Windows 2003 Server Enterprise With SP4.

I have not get error notifications during the installation.

After installation,I have followed all instructions for the first

configuration by using Ciscoworks Assistant.

Now, We use Device Fault Manager 3.1.0 in the LMS 3.1 and it already

show that there is no device managed by DFM, however, in Common Services and campus Manager devices are already discovered and stored.

The Home Page of Common Services deisplay that devices are supported by DFM. But it's not the case on the DFM interface.

I did the same installation on two another servers with single processor.

The installation has succeeded and DFM works properly without no error.

Is the multiprocessor may be the cause of DFM failure to retrieve devices in DCR ?

Any help will be much appreciated.

DFM does not automatically sync devices from DCR. You have to go to DFM > Device Management > Device Import, and select which devices to sync (or turn on auto-sync for a group of devices). Once this happens, DFM will start to manage DCR devices. DFM prefers multi-CPU systems, so that is certainly not a problem.

However, there is no SP 4 for Windows 2003. SP 2 is the highest Service Pack.

We already did this step (both manual and auto-sync). In common services interface, it shows that 40 devices are now supported by DFM.

The DFM discovery log indicates that discovery was successfull but no device is present in the DFM page.

You're right,we're using Win SP2.

What DFM page? Please post a screenshot illustrating your problem as well as a screenshot of DFM > Device Management > Discovery Status.
