PPTP Question

I was asked this morning if this was possible and it's really beyond my knowledge base so I thought I would begin by asking here for some insight.

We have a 50mb fiber circuit delivered to us from Optimum. Terminates in there router, then delivered to our 3640 via RJ45 drop.

I was asked if we could allocate x amount of bandwidth from this circuit and setup a PPTP tunnel with a client for an upcoming project. I know I can do it from our Sonicwall but was wondering if this could be accomplished from our router?

Not sure this can even be done but thanks in advance.

In theory, CBWFQ should allow you to set guaranteed bandwidth for your PPTP tunnel.

If also appears Cisco routers might terminate/host PPTP, e.g. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk827/tk369/technologies_configuration_example09186a00801e51e2.shtml#maintask1

In practice, features are often dependent on the IOS version and its feature set.
