Rate-Limiting on Syslog

Hi, I have limited the loggin alerts for Syslog.

Router(config)# logging rate-limit 200 except 2.

I want to reconfirm. Except 2 will log 0,1 & 2 message or only 2 ?

Hello Rupesh,

logging rate-limit 10000 ?

except Messages of this severity or higher

so messages of severity 0,1,2 will not be rate limited all other will be

(severity increases with lower level)

So your configuration should not affect messages of severity 2 or above
