Hi there,
I am using an IOS H.323 gateway and I only use voip dial-peers. NO pots dial-peer as this is a lab environment and I do not have access to PRI or PSTN lines. Obviously some pots dial-peer commands are not supported. Now the question is: what are the commands for manipulating digits in voip dial-peer? These commands exist in pots dial-peer, but not in voip dial-peer.
I am thinking of
forward-digits
prefix
direct-inward-dial
Translation-rule gives some options but is not as powerful as the above commands.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
rdianat

Forward-digits and prefix are both going to be done with translation rules. Translation rules can absolutely do both of these, and with even more power than the other commands.
Check out this document for some details:

Direct-inward-dial is only applicable on T1 POTS circuits, and the functionality doesn't exist for VOIP.

"Translation-rule gives some options but is not as powerful as the above commands."
Actually, I believe the translation-rule command is much more powerful, but also alot more complex.
