Better way of routing for the following issue

We have cat6000 through which att provide internet and other end of cat 6000 is connected to 2970 and 2970 is connected to few cmts(ubr7246vxr) and customers are connected to cmts and we have issues with customers with static ips. when ever we move customers from one cmts to another,we have to ask them to change their ip and thy dont like it ,,,can some one help us with few steps to change on our end when we move customers from one cmts to another. am trying to think for a way of implementing dynamic routing protocol some thing like that.

I'd suggest using cable bundling and then just moving the static IP's from the bundle on the old cmts to the new one.

am sorry if you dont mind can you elaborate a little please. it would be great if we can make any changes on our end without making cus loose their static ips

as we have different line cards on cmts we move customers from one card to another,,, we are not moving all the customers from one cmts to anotehr.. we do this when we have issues with cards..on cmts...

How do you have your IP assignment set up on the CMTS, is it per interface or is it set up via bundling?

we have ips assigned in the bundle interface
