Ok here is my problem. I had to install CCUM 6.X in a 3com (5500's) environment (ick) everything seems to be fine⦠except for DHCP to the phone. The weird thing is if I set the PVID to the voice VLAN and tag the port for the voice VLAN and plug my notebook into the port I get an address from the Novell (*cough) DHCP server that correlates to that voice VLAN. If I plug the Cisco phone into that same port and don't set the admin VLAN ID on the phone, the phone gets a business network IP address from DHCP. If I set the admin VLAN ID to the voice VLAN⦠the phone gets no IP address at all from DHCP.
If I manually set TFTP, IP, VLAN, etc the phones work fine, no communications issues with CCUM.
I have configured the DHCP relay and UDP Helper address on the core stack to point to the Novell server.
Any ideas?
