Answered Question

Hello!

as described in:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5755/ps6301/ps6305/product_data_sheet0900aecd802570d0.html

Cisco WCS Plus

• Supports deployment of Cisco WCS on a single server

• Supports mobility services enablement, high availability, and the ability to track the location of a single Wi-Fi device or tag on demand

and

Cisco WCS Location

• Supports deployment of Cisco WCS on a single server

• Includes location services to support tracking of a single Wi-Fi device on demand or expanded location capabilities by adding a Cisco Wireless Location Appliance.

• Cisco WCS Location must be installed to support deployment of a Cisco Wireless Location Appliance.

does it mean, that this licences allow me to track clients by WCS interface without Location Appliance deployment?

What are the diffirences between PLUS & LOC licences? (There are no differences between WCS-STANDARD-K9 + WCS-APLOC-50 (or AIR-WCS-WL-1.0-K9) and WCS-STANDARD-K9 + WCS-PLUS-50, instead of HA on PLUSlic, isn't it?)

You can track a single client by drilling down to that client without the location appliance.

Adding the location appliance allows you to track multiple client/tags/rogues on the maps you have configured.

Base was without location.

Plus ( rename of location ) is Base + Location.

These are old part numbers and should not be used:

AIR-WCS-WL-1.0-K9 ( Windows Location )
