Hi,
Please could somebody check how many ISDN channels/ ISDN circuits required for:
159 calls averaging 4 minutes. Which gives me 38160 CCS which is approx 11 Erlangs
The Erlang calculater works out that I need 19 lines.
Hence a single E1 or T1 with a minimum of 19 channels is required for the above inbound call volume.
Please could somebody confirm, that I have calculated this correctly?

The problem with an erlang calculation as such is that it doesn't account peak times that are variable from place to place. So go back to you client and ask explicitly how many simultaneous calls they want to support. This, accompanied by a cost per channel is the best way to decide.

Thanks,
The Erlang terminology refers to 'Trunk Group' for calculations. Is this the same as a Route Group?

Route group do not apply, the only thing that matters is how many channels of the E1 you are using.
