VoIP Overhead Paging recommendations

I am wondering if anyone can offer some recommendation on a 3rd party VoIP Overhead Paging solution that integrates well w/ CallManager? I have seen Cisco's whitepaper on Berbee InformaCast and have reached out to them but I would love to hear from people in the field as to what they use.

Thanks.

Hi!

I've seen customers using the following vendors, however the decision will depend on your needs and the cost :) some deployments do not require an expensive solution and they prefer to use Valcom for example.

Berbee and Valcom are kind of popular, but you can get in touch with them for more details.

Berbee

Bogen

Valcom

IPcelerate

And I believe there is an IP Multicast solution from Cyberdata.

Radianta Office also provides some paging features and runs on CUAE.

I've worked with most of these vendors and found that Xeno Solutions Phone Suite has the best software for voice/text broadcasting based on ease of use, management and configuration. Best price too.

Is the only one I can guarantee for ease of implementation. Although I heard that callmanger does not have the ability to send multicast feed. Using CME however is as easy as creating a phone-dn. Here's the config:

ephone-dn 61

number 1100

name Paging System

feed ip 239.0.0.0 port 2000

Then you configure the Cyberdata speaker with this multicast IP/port (up to 10 IP).

Note: Of course you need multicasting enable unless they are on the same lan or vlan.
