Hi,
I have a question from my customer. They have a cisco 2821 with an NM-1CE1B module(PRI) and want to configure it as RAS for remote isdn users. Does the router need DSP/PVDM for this? As I am a voice guy I dont really know. I dont know if remote users are isdn or modems or a mix.
Any ideas.

The module alone supports data calls only, and in older router it was used together an NM-xDM to terminate modem calls. However the current technology of terminating modem calls on an ISR router is with a PVDM2-xDM module and HWIC-xCE1T1-PRI.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Thanks bevilacqua!
I guess then there is no need for DSP for ISDN data only.
Thanks
