Hi folks,
I'm facing the following problem on a cisco WS-C3750G-24TS vith the following configuration :
IOS : Version 12.2(35)SE5
System image : c3750-ipservices-mz.122-35.SE5
I configured the C3750 with "sdm prefer dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 routing" and made a reload.
I can now configure ipv6 addresses on interfaces, create IPv6 ACLs, set up static routes, etc. but I can't turn the switch to an IPv6 router because the command "ipv6 unicast-routing" is not available.
What's wrong with the configuration ?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Roland.

Roland,
You need Advanced IP Services to enable IPv6 unicast routing on the 3750.

I've run into the same problem in a 3650 and was struggling to find a solution. I've compared the "ip services" with the "advanced ip services" image at cisco's feature navigator. Although the first one has a bunch of ipv6 features, the second one has only the following 4 features additional to the first one:
CEFv6/dCEFv6 - Cisco Express Forwarding
IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Throttling
IPv6 Routing: OSPF for IPv6 (OSPFv3)
IPv6 Switching: CEF/dCEF Support
I can't figure out which of these 4 includes the "ipv6 unicast routing" feature. What do I miss?

Hello Kostas,
it is a question of implementation:
a multilayer switch needs to be able to perform switching in hardware or it is better for it to not be able at all to route ipv6 packets.
so the key item here is IPv6 Switching: CEF/dCEF Support
Hope to help

This thread is 8 years old by the way.
But regardless, he clearly says it in his post.
"You need Advanced IP Services to enable IPv6 unicast routing"
You have advsecurityk9 not advipservicesk9 (or adventerprisek9)
