Hi all, can anyone tell me, once 2 ospf routers have become neighbours on the 2 way state, what do they do with the info, do they send it to the DR ? so all routers will send there info to the DR?

Also, with eigrp does that have the equivalent of a link state database on each router ?

Once the routers become neighbors on the 2 way state, the routers now decide, whom to establish full adjacency based on the network that particular interface resides on.

If the interface is an P2P link, they become adjacent with their soul mates by entering ExStart State.

If the interface is on a Multiaccess link, then it will enter a election process to see who it will establish Full adjacency with and remain in the same state.

Eigrp has a neighbour table which is equivalent to Link state Database in OSPF.

Hi there

So, with ospf, if routers say have 10 neighbours, will they then send this info to the DR, So the DR will receive alot of the same info from each router and the other routers connected ?

can anyone answer this?
