Hello, We have 2 switches that have an ISL between them. We no longer need the ISL. To remove - can we simply disable the ISL ports and unplug the cables that connect the 2 switches? Are there other steps required to remove all traces of this old ISL?

If you are absolutely sure that this no data traffic going over the ISL, then yes all you need to do is disable the ports on each switch, then remove the cable.

G'day,
Don't forget to remove _all_ configuration in the startup/running config for the ISL as well.
Things to look at briefly...
individual port configs
port channel configs
switch priority settings
Cheers
