I am able to connect to my work network using VPN; however, when I attempt to map my network drive to the work network I receive the message, "The network path could not be found". I am running a Windows XP operating system.

Are you the person that setup the network, or an user needing help ?

You need to ask your network administrator then. One first test that you can do, is try pinging to the computer of the resource from a command window.

Our IT "guru" was able to access my computer yesterday and tried pinging, but to no avail. I installed the VPN software on a laptop and was able to connect with my work network and map the network drive and get in. There's something in my computer which isn't allowing me to map to the work network.

I appreciate your responses.
