Dear all,
I have a trunk between two cucm 4.3,
and i'm facing a problem when transferring an external call that arrives to site 1, to a person in site 2 through the trunk.
the scenario is as follows:
A call arrives to site 1, i answer it and i click on transfer to transfer the call to a person in site 2, i could talk with that person to tell him that someone needs to talk to him, but when i click transfer again to fully transfer the call, the call will be disconnected, the person in site 2 hears a disconect signal, and the person calling from pstn doesn't hear anything.
can anybody help about that urgently pls

Sorry,
You are using Call Manager 4.3 :P
Configure the trunk as OnNet:
Step 1 From Cisco CallManager Administration, choose Device > Trunk.
The Find and List Trunk window displays.
Step 2 To list the configured trunks, click Find.
The trunks that are configured in Cisco CallManager display.
Step 3 Choose the trunk that you want to configure as OffNet or OnNet.

Hi,
What king of config do you have in "telephony-service" -> transfer-pattern
And "voice service voip" -> allow-connections

Nuno

hi Nuno,
first thank you for your reply,
this is not a cme, so i don't have telephony-service commands,
in "voice service voip" i have allowed h323 to h323 connections.
is it a codec/trancoding problem..??
thanks again.

the trunk is already configured as OnNet..
i was thinking about something,
since the call between me and the caller from pstn is using g711, and the one between me and the person in site 2 is using g729 coz it is passing through the trunk, so when i click tranfer for the second time both party couldn't talk together because of a codec isuue??
am i thinking right?? and what would be the solution in this case??
thnaks a lot Mr. Nunoscosta

You are right about codec issue.
Are you using Media Termination Point for transcoding?
I think you need that!

Nuno

Thanks a lot Mr. Nunoscosta,
i solved the problem finally, but i'm still surprised coz they said it was working before but they didn't have transcoding configured on gateway and on cucm..
anyway, i learned how to do that and i successfully configure it..
thanks again..
