I am having issue with adding new Datasource Name (DSN)with CCX version 7.0. It returns the error message below:

================================================

* One or more of the connection parameters (Datasource Name, User Name or Password) are invalid

================================================

I have double check and make sure that the id and password are valid, but it still returns the same error every time.

Is anyone has some luck with creating DSN in CCX 7.0?

Thanks.

Just found out the info for CCX 7.0, need to create DSN on the windows side first. The steps are show below.

===============================================================

To create the System DSN on the server please run through the steps below.

1. Create a system DSN on the Windows 2003 Server machine by choosing Start> Programs > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC). The OBDC Data Source Administrator window opens.

2. Click the System DSN tab and click Add. The “Create New Data Source” window opens.

3. In the Create New Data Source window, choose a SQL Server driver and click Finish. The first “Create a New Data Source to SQL Server” window opens.

4. In this window, perform the following tasks:

a. In the Name field, specify a name for this DSN (for example, EXTWLLBRD.)

b. In the Description field, enter a descriptive name.

c. In the Which SQL Server field, enter server and datasource name.

5. Click Finish. The second Create a New Data Source to SQL Server window opens.
