Install error with Unity 5

Answered Question

Hi,

I am installing Unity 5.0.1 for one of my customers. The software was shipped missing Unity DVD 02. I downloaded it through Cisco CCO, extracted it to a DVD and When I am prompted to insert DVD 2 it copies the file from the DVD.

My problem is that when the install finishes, it fails and tells me that it was unable to load my default settings. I am wondering if it is looking for a CRC check to verify the DVD. Has anyone come accross this error before. I have attached a screen shot of the error..

Any help appreciated

Here is how I do it and it always works.

Load the platform disc or Windows 2003 Sp1 on the server

Load SQL

Load SQL SP4

Load Exchange 2003

Load Exhcange 2003 SP2

Download or copy the Unity Disc1 and SP disc to the hardrive in an easy folder like d:\unity

Load the Crystal Reports from Disc2

Execute the Unity install from CUICA.(VBS file in the folder)

Run through the set

Load the new TSP software from CCO

Load WIndows SP2

Load the Unity Windows updates.
