Device Verification

I want to create a user defined group. Then I want to be able to run a test or report that will go out and verify that each device in that group is "alive" - on the network and running. Can someone point me in the right direction.

I am using LMS 3.0.1

You can do this with the Health and Utilization add-on to LMS 3.0.1. Go to HUM > Poller > Poller Management, and create a new poller. Select your user-defined group, then select the Device Availability template. Check the Poll All Instances box, and leave the poller interval at five minutes. That will periodically check to make sure all devices in that group are reachable.

We have not purchased the HUM and our evaluation period has expired. Is there another way you are aware of?

You could use RME's check device credentials report. This can be executed under RME > Devices > Device Management > Device Credential Verification Jobs.
