Does it exist any type of report for PoE capable Cisco switches?

I'm interesting on generating a report that can show me a list of devices that support or do not support PoE. I know there exist a filter under Common Services>Visualization but it is not display as a report.

Thank in advance

You can do this in RME provided you are running RME 4.1 or higher. The report is under RME > Reports > Report Generator > Inventory > POE Report. However, it currently only supports a subset of 3560 and 3750 switches.

I do have RME 4.1 but I don't see the report under Inventory Reports

Sorry, typo, I meant RME 4.1.1. You will need to upgrade to LMS 3.0.1 to get this report. LMS 3.0.1 can be downloaded from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/lms301 .

Finally, I'm on LMS 3.0.1 and RME 4.1.1 and I can see the report avaiblable. However, I'm still not able to generate the report and the only messege I get is: "None of the selected device(s) are POE capable. Select POE supported devices to generate the report.

I now for sure I have cisco POE capable switches but I might be missing a step before generating the report.

As I said, the report is pretty limited right now. It only supports certain 3560 and 3750 series switches. A bug has been filed to enhance this report. The ID is CSCsx15486:

Symptom:

RME PoE Inventory Report does not work for certain switches (such as Cat7600/6500).

Conditions:

Currently, RME is only able to create PoE Inventory reports for Cat3750 and 3560 switches:

WS-C3560-24PS - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.563

WS-C3560-48PS - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.564

WS-C3560G-24PS - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.614

WS-C3560G-48PS - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.616

WS-C3750E-24PD - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.792

WS-C3750E-48PD - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.791

WS-C3560E-24PD - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.795

WS-C3560E-48PD - 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.796

It does not work for other switches.

Workaround:

None.

Are there plans to add support for the 6500 PoE line cards in LMS 3.2 for the PoE Inventory Reports ?  How about in LMS 4.0 ?

Thanks.

There is an enhancement open for this (CSCsx15486).  I will ping the product management team to see about getting it implemented for LMS 4.1.
