I am setting up a new office with VOIP. They are able to recieve calls fine, but whenever I try to make an outside call it tells me the call cannot be completed. Here is a the kicker; I can make and outside call if I use a speed dial set up on a tranlsation pattern ie. #24. Any help would be appreciated.

This seems like a Calling Search Space/PT issue.
Is the route pattern used for outside calling in a parition that is reachable from the CSS applied to the phone?
How quickly do you hear this message, after all the digits are dialed or sooner?
Are the calls that work via speed dial origniating from the desired GW?
Have you tried analyzing the call flow via Dialed Number Analyzer? What does that show?

It sounds like you may be using an MGCP PRI.
'debug isdn q931' on your PRI and see if the National/Unknown/ISDN numbering/plan types change when you speed dial and when you dial normally. There have been cases where the speed dial changes this, I believe.
