Hi, when we have to use DISTRIBUTED command. I am totally confused.

The distributed command, which is usually seen in the 7500 or GSR basically allows the line card to perform CEF lookups for Multicast versus the RSP. If you leave the distributed command out like on a 7500 it reverts to Fast Switching Mode. Platforms like the GSR only support distributed mode...
