I have 5 servers. 3/5 have different HDD firmware and was wondering if this is safe to run with old and new hdd firmware.Can you pls provide me this information.

The official answer that you would receive from Cisco, HP, and/or IBM is that you should run consistent firmware across all systems. In addition, they also recommend that you run the same speed of drive at least on a server level - i.e., all drives are 10k or 15k - not mixed and match.

Unofficially, at a previous company I've been at we had 8 CCM clusters one of which was a fully loaded cluster. Over the years, we ended up with mixed firmware and mixed drive speeds and there was no clear indication that it specifically caused any issues.
