Can someone tell me what to use to monitor network bandwidth for my company?
Does Cisco make a program or GUI that allows me to monitor?
THank you!

Hello Dustin,

We use it and allow to produce nice graphs published as web pages.
It is widely used and it has 10 years of history.
Hope to help

no, its not. you can install it on unix and windows boxes as well. it all depends on you.
another tool is 'rrdtool' which is also being developed by the person who developed mrtg. a front-end of this one is 'cacti'.
thanks !

Hi,
Google friend took me to this link which explain the difference between both. In some cases PRTG commercial licence is required.
Hope this helps....

just make sure you use snmp v2 and higher as v1 cannot increment gigabit rates and will give you false data. It will work with FA but not Gig.
