Confused on recertifications

Unanswered Question

Hi all,

I'm on my last exam for the CCNP track (ONT) and hope to clear this by March, then move onto the CCVP first doing the CCNA Voice. What I am confused about is, once I become a CCVP alongside the CCNP, what do I have to do to keep both certs current?

I know every 3 years or within I need to do a 642 exam to keep my CCNP alive so to speak, but would that mean I have to do one of the CCVP exams too?

I know if I become a CCIE, then every 2 years I'd just need to do the CCIE written which would keep all my lower qualifications alive, but how does this play for the CCNP and CCVP?

Thanks in advance

Taking one qualifying "642-" professional exam would re0cert both CCNP and CCVP, as long as both are current (not expired) at the time you pass the test.

You CCNA and other Associate level certs are also renewed.

Good Luck
