SIP Dialer Service for CUCM

Hi,

We have a requirement from one of our customer, the setup is that they have a CUCM 6.1.2 Cluster and we have configured the Cisco IP Communicator for them to access thier Voice Infrastructure over the VPN if they are travelling.

The customer requires doesnt want to use the IP Communicator, instead wants to use a SIP Phone / SIP Dialer installed on the laptop which can be accessed through the Internet.

Any inputs will be helpful.

Try Cisco ASA PhoneProxy and use our IP Phones, cisco VPN with IPC I think its the best option.

Having SIP open from the Internet is quite dangerous and will lead to toll frauds.

If they are still ok you may use Third party SIP Phone Like SJ Labs or IPC using SIP and open SIP Ports from your FW etc etc...
