I need to add prefix before sending the calls. Translation rule makes me more complex. kindly suggest the best practise.

dial-peer voice x pots
destination-pattern 00T
port 0/0/0:0
prefix 0021
So when you dial 003456789 the voice gateway will send 00213456789.

The above example will only work for calls destined to POTS dial peers. For calls destined to IP desitnations translation rule is your best option.

Hi Rob
i am fine how about you thank you for your reply actually i need to create a prefix 600
From Router A if a user dial 600 and 3 Digit extension number the 600 number needs to discard at router A and sent the calls to router B
Example: 600601 dial from A
the extension 600 need to discard and sent the 601 to router B. Is it possible through prefix dialing.

translation-rule 600
rule 1 /^600/ /601/
translation-profile CHANGE_NETPRO
translate called 600
dial-peer voice x voip
destination-pattern 600...
translation-profile outgoing CHANGE_NETPRO
session target ipv4:X.X.X.
