Hi Ricardo,

Have a look at this good Q&A doc;

Table 1

Comparison of Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Express and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Solutions

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6789/ps5664/ps6533/prod_qas0900aecd80313b7a.html

Hope this helps!

For the implementation of a CiscoMeetingPlaceExpress I need a Cisco Call Manager , MCU and the server MCS with the Meeting place express installed.

But to install the Meeting Place Server. What do I need?

thanks

Hi Ricardo,

Hardware requirements - Cisco Unified MeetingPlace

• Voice conferencing is installed on Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8100 Series platforms.

• Web conferencing and integrations are installed on Cisco MCSs.

• Video conferencing requires Cisco Unified Videoconferencing servers.

Q. What is the difference between the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8106 platform and the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8112 platform?

A. The primary difference between platforms is the number of slots (capacity) of the systems. Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8106 provides a 6-slot chassis in a 4-rack-unit (RU) form factor, and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8112 provides a 12-slot chassis in a 12-RU form factor. The voice and Web conferencing features are identical for both systems, and both systems support common integration applications.

Q. What additional components are required to enable video conferencing on the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace solution?

A. Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Video Integration provides the software integration between the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace solution and the Cisco Unified Videoconferencing solution. This video integration requires its own Cisco MCS 7835 or MCS 7845 Media Convergence Server independent of other Cisco Unified MeetingPlace components. Customers must also purchase a Cisco Unified Videoconferencing MCU for video conferencing, and appropriate gateways and other options, depending on specific deployment requirements. Customers must provide H.323, SIP, or SCCP video endpoints and desktop cameras as part of the video conferencing deployment.

Hope this helps!

Rob
