hi

we have two controllers with 32 APs. Today all the APs associated to 1st controller got de-associated.Eventhough it did not associated to 2nd controller.

Can someone advise me why this has happend and what are the required configurations needed to work active/standby or share the AP association between two controllers.

thanks in advance !

What is the Firmware of the two WLC?

If v3.x/4.x/5.x (before 5.2), try the following commands from the WLC:

config ap primary-base

config ap secondary-base

This forces the AP to "point" to the primary/secondary WLC immediately after bootup.

If your Firmware is 5.2, then use the command:

config advanced backup-controller primary

config advanced backup-controller secondary

Does this help?
