Anything specific that i should look out for?

Hello,

At 3.2(3a) and above FM is no longer available via the web service to the switches IP address. You should get a page that provides DM though and a link to where you can download FM from.

After you install FMS you can download the FM client via the web interface to the FMS server. Are you trying to download FM client on the same host as FMS or on another host?

Thank you.

Can you please tell me how I can install JUST the FM Web client (for performance stats)? I already have FM installed on my windows server. I tried using the installer but it is re-installing everything. I don't want to mess up what we already discovered etc since other storage admins are already using it. I just want to install and configure the FM Web client. Help please on that! Thank you.

We installed FM version 4.25 by the way so the old trick of logging to one of the MDS via web does not work anymore.

FMS Web Server Client comes as part of FMS - So if you have FMS installed and FMS Licensed on the switch (FM_SERVER_PKG - though you still get/have 180day grace period) then you don't need to install anything else.

From the Host that has FMS installed use IE/FireFox and navigate to either:

https://HostFQDN

https://localhost
or
https://HostFQDN
- The Hosts Full Qualifing Domain Name

This should get you to the FMS Web Server Client - and logon as you would with FMS.
