Solved: VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 - RAS solution for PSTN branches

Hi,

I am planning to build a RAS solution with VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 in a 3825 chasis. The solution is to provide RAS data connectivity to Branch location which are connected to PSTN network using A/S interface and Modem.

Can anyone confirm whether the design is viable with the listed hardware inventory?

Also could some one help me with some reference link?

Hi,

You need a PVDM2-xxDM module to provide modem resources in the chassis.

However, the VWIC card cannot be used to terminate modem, you need to use one of the modules detailed in the document:
