Hi Guys,
I have the following doubt: In CCM 4.2.1 the IP Phone take what time: The time & date or time zone configured in CCM machine? or It take the Date/Time Group configured in CCM?
I have the same doubt about IP Communicator, until where I know It take time of user machine, it's wright? There are differente between, for example GMT-4 Caracas and GMT-4 Manaus?
Thanks,
Wilson Santana

The Call Manager uses the servers time as a base and then offsets the time based on the Date/Time group. The combination of this is what is displayed on the phone.

The IP phones get their time from the Call Manager subscriber that they are registered to. That being said, Call Manager looks at the GMT timestamp based on the time of the subscriber and converts the offset based on the Date/Time group assigned to the device pool for the phones (IP Communicator included).
Example:
Subscriber Time: 11:42 PST (17:42 GMT)
Date/Time Group: GMT -4 Caracas
The phone would dispaly 15:42 (Caracas time)
