If fax or voice transmissions passing through Cisco voice gateways disconnect, you might need to disable call-progress messages on the gateway. By default, Cisco voice gateways have progress messages enabled. However, the connecting PBX systems might not recognize these messages, causing the calls or fax transmissions to drop.
