I ordered a MCS-7835-H1 with 2048MB RAM and Two 72GB SCSI HD-1 through iProcurement-->Internal ordering. I'm not able to install Windows 2003 server - either standalone OS or with OS packaged with CUCM 4.3. The intial install seems to go through fine and after a few self initiated reboot, the system hangs at the Window 2003 Server welcome screen. I'm trying to install 2003.1.2a-H.iso image. Should I RMA the equipment ?

Hi!
Is the OS version you are trying to install a Cisco approved OS? Did you get it from Cisco?
Can you try installing the 2003.1.1 version?
According to the CUCM HW compatibility matrix, the MCS-7835-H1-IPC1 is supported for CCM 4.3 versions.
*** Supported Cisco Unified Communications Manager Releases by Server ***
According to the Windows 2003 Release Notes the server is supported too:
*** Cisco Unified Communications Operating System Release Notes, Version 2003.1.1 ***
--> Table 1 Supported Hardware Platform for New Installations
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/win_os/rel_note/rn200311.html#wp42549
For installation instructions refer to:
*** Installing the Operating System on the Cisco Unified Communications Server, Version 2003.1.1 ***
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/win_os/install/os200311.html#wp490168
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Teresa.

Hi Teresa,
I tried installing Cisco approved 2003.1.1 server and still ran into the same issue - The server hangs trying to load the OS. Could it be a faulty equipment ?
thanks
