C6509 Leaking Traffic Between VLANs

Hello,

We have a C6509 switch. For some reason, if I enable Ether Real on my computer I am able to see some traffic from other VLANs. This defeats the normal behabvior of a switch. Can anybody shed some light on this?

Remarks:

- There is no port mirroring configured on any VLAN or switch.

Hello Glen,

Thanks for the link however in my situation I have only one router which is the default gateway for all the VLANs and it is the C6513.

Also, the traffic I am seeing on Ether Real is not related at all to the VLAN my laptop is in. I am seeing traffic between two hosts on VLAN 203 for example.

I am suspecting an issue in cabling. Such as somebody has connected a switch to itself!
