My users would like to be able to use the Unity Auto-Attendant by saying the number rather than by pressing it on their dial pad.
I have Unity 5, what is required for the voice recognition part?
Is it SpeechConnect, and if so, do I have to purchase a license for it?

Lucas,
Yes, Speech Connect accomplishes this. SC is installed on its own piece of hardware and licensing is separate from Unity.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate.

Can Speech Connect be downloaded from Cisco's site or is it included on the Unity DVDs?

Rob,
Am i right in my assumption, speech connect will let you speak the name but not the extension?? or is that wrong?

Hi Stanley,
That is correct my friend :)
When you call Speech Connect, a prompt plays. You can:
â¢Say the name of a person or department in the directory.
â¢Answer "Yes" or "No" to disambiguation choices, if presented.
â¢Say "Cancel" to cancel a call transfer.
â¢Say "Operator" and be transferred to an operator.
â¢Say "Voice Mail" and be transferred to voice mail.
â¢Press an extension and be transferred to a person or department in the directory.
Cheers!
Rob
