I'm putting together a simple animation using Powerpoint to show how data would be routed in a small network under various conditions including link failures.

Is there a software application that will simulate network performance and present in a graphical way like I'm trying to do with powerpoint? Hopefully something cheap I can buy for personnal use.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Thanks

Packet Tracer is a pretty good simulator, but you cant incorporate it into Powerpoint. You could build the network in Packet Tracer then take a screen shot or record your screen to simulate a packet being passed through a network then post the video in Powerpoint.

Thanks for that. Ill check out Packet Tracer. Is there a forum to ask questions on how to use it?
