Hi Experts,

Looking for a little help with a QoS config. I have a customer connected to an MPLS cloud. they have two sites, and both sites have 10 Mb into the cloud.

Our Data center has a 100 Mb link into the cloud. We provide internet bandwitdh. Can i put QoS on the customers routers, (not our core routers) to shape there internet access to 2Mb and leave their intersite, VPN traffic at 10Mbs.

Am thinking of using a Nested policy of sorts.

Thanks

Stephen

I have this problem too.

if you have access to the customer router, and the customer will not be able to modify this configuration then you can do this shapping on his router.

if i understand the problem correctly you need to create class map that classify only the internet traffic to be shaped and leave the vpn traffic to its defaults.

you can achive this by creating the class map as below

class-map match-all SHAPE

match any

match not access-group (access list used to match the VPN traffic)

and then create the shaping policy map
