Interface Banwidth Utilization

Hello,

Does anyone know what is the best way to check the current utilization of an interface, besides using "show int gi0/0"?

I'm trying to find some counter that is collect statistics then 5 minutes average (what show int displays)

Depends on the switch model. All the current standalone type switches like 2940, 2950,2960,3560,3750 support the "show controllers utilization" command . I don't know of an equivalent command for the chassis based switches like 4500,6500 though I have always wished they would port that command to those products also.
