DHCP on LAN (2100 WLAN Controller)

Hi,

I have a WLAN Controller (2100) and have setup the internal DHCP server, which is working for Wireless Clients.

However, I have port 1 on the WLAN Controller connected to a CE500sw, with 4 AP's connected. Also connected to the switch is a patch point for a cabled LAN connection. The cabled connection is not picking up an address via DHCP.

Does the WLAN controller internal DHCP server broadcast DHCP assignment on the LAN, or is it restricted to work with Wireless Clients through the AP's?

The internal dhcp is only used for wireless devices and will not provide dhcp for wired users. That is why you should seperate your wireled and wireless users to different subnets. Unless you are doing wired guest access, then you can provide dhcp for those users also.
