7914 expansion module on CCME-the buttons are constantly RED

Hello,

I have been doing a CME deployment and ran into some problem with the 7914 expansion module on the receptionist's 7961 phone.

I have the following file in flash-S00105000300.sbn

I also have the following configurations:

tftp-server flash:s00105000300.sbn

!

telephony-service

load 7914 s00105000300

!

all configurations seem to be ok,but there is no change-the buttons are just stuck in the red color.

Anyone who's gone through this before?

What was the workaround?

Have you configure type and addon under receptionist ephone ?

Which IOS are you using? I'm seeing strange issues with sidecards in 12.4(20)T1.

In some case I had to force the phone to register to another ephone tag. You do this under ephone configuration, reset, set mac to a fantasy number, phone will register to next available ephone, copy all config in there.

Make sure you have auto-reg enable when doing this.

I'm hitting this bug exactly. It is a total success killer for those wanting latest CME.

Will be fixed in 12.4(20)T and 12.4(22)T ?

It is fixed into two IOS releases that are currently available:

12.4(20)T2 and 12.4(22)YB. YB is CME 7.1, and T2 just came out yesterday.
