hum, I think I found... cnf-file location is in the "system:" , how can I change it if I can't find the cnf-file command in call-manager-fallback config ?
Thanks.
Andrei.
show call-manager fallback
cnf-file location: system:
cnf-file option: PER-PHONE-TYPE
network-locale[0] US (This is the default network locale for this box)
...
user-locale[0] ES (This is the default user locale for this box)

Hi,
I think you will find that cnf location has nothing to do with softkey.
Softkeys labels are set directly by CM or SRTS, the version you're using may have bug in which softkeys are not translated.

Hi !!
sorry not agree with you.. I found this directory..
#dir system:its/spain/
Directory of system:its/spain/
75 -rw- 0
74 -rw- 0
73 -rw- 0
76 -rw- 0
72 -rw- 0
77 -rw- 0
No space information available
So, I tryied to link that system directory with the real location of files..
tftp-server system:its/spain/tc-sccp.jar alias tc-sccp.jar
tftp-server system:its/spain/ipc-sccp.jar alias ipc-sccp.jar
tftp-server system:its/spain/SCCP-dictionary.xml alias SCCP-dictionary.xml
tftp-server system:its/spain/SCCP-dictionary.utf-8.xml alias SCCP-dictionary.utf-8.xml
It's not working yet.. but I think this is the way...
Thanks.
Andrei.

It is not, because if you examine tc-sccp.jar (change extension to .tar to open with a PC), you will find that all softkey strings are correctly translated. What happens, is that the router overwrites these and it can have the wrong translations.

Thanks, I could see the tar file.
So, what do I need to do for the router not to overwrites the file ?
Andrei.

The router does not overwrites the file, but it controls the softkeys strings directly.
You can try another IOS, I know that softkey translation is correct for the 7911, but I never use SRST, only CME.

I tryied another IOS.. still not work..
I'd like to follow cisco best practices using srst...
I'll try some more things before giving up.
Or I'll open a TAC.
Thanks for your help.
Andrei.

Hi ! I made it work !
I'll that I had to do was to install the User Locale (Spanish) in the CallManager 4.2 .. then configure the remote phones to Spanish user locale... and reset them..
When I shutdown the link and SRST started to work, the locale files were already in the Router.
Only after this, the "user locale ES" starts to work and traslate the softkeys to spanish.
Can you please check the Resolved for future help other people ?
Thanks.
Andrei.

Hi Andrei,
Good work my friend! +5 Points for kindly posting back with your resolution to this issue. Sadly, only the original poster of a thread can mark it as resolved and you can't rate your own posts :(
Cheers!
